Jill Diamond Jill Diamond was voted WBC Woman of the Year, 2010. She is the first woman to sit on the Executive Board of the North American Boxing Federation. She’s was also Media Representative for the World’s largest sport’s sanctioning body, the World Boxing Council. She Chairs the WBC & the NABF’s Women's Divisions, the Boxing Hall of Fame Women's Championship Awards, is advisor to the American University of Sports, and Founded and Chairs World Boxing Cares, a program that reaches out to impoverished children worldwide. Her journeys send her across the globe as an Official and Supervisor of title bouts, and as an Ambassador for World Boxing Cares. Recently, Ms. Diamond's commitment was recognized, and she was honored as the WBC Woman of the Year, given boxing’s Johnny Carnation Award, the NYC Police Athletic League’s 911 Award and acknowledged by the California Legislature for her work with women athletes. In addition, Jill currently writes for various sports publications and websites. Some of her video interviews with sport’s celebrities can be seen on the WBC News, YouTube, Sportscloseups, and other, international websites, both in English and Spanish. Prior to sports, she was involved in the world of Television, where she was a multiple Emmy winner for Composition and Production. She also used her writing and editing abilities, and designed campaigns for hospitals and pharmaceuticals; including USC Norris, Katie Couric’s Colon Cancer Initiative, Random House, and the DCI Networks. As head of the Film/TV Department of Anatomical Travelogue, she was instrumental in developing Conception to Birth, an Oprah book choice. In addition to her artistic talents, her business acumen turned Procter & Gamble’s Music Department into a multi million dollar win instead of a money deficit. She then went on to build the ABC/Cap City music libraries, and this year, introduced the first, voluntary Global insurance policy available to the boxing community without a prerequisite physical. Jill maintains her certification as a Reichean Therapist, specializing in communication. Ms Diamond also founded Healing through the Arts, a cross cultural organization whose mission is too send a message of harmony to the public. Currently, she is the only US Citizen invited to, and working with the All African Games in Matupo. Her goal this year is to bring orthopedic, medical support to the children of her WBC Youth Village in Mozambique.
