 Mr. Israel Vasquez, WBC World Champion c/o Frank Espinoza, Mgr. Dear Mr. Vasquez, Happy New Year! Last year flew by for us, and now we're shifting into high gear, as we plan for our 11th Annual Spring Fundraiser. With the rate of new infection in women and young people on the rise, our "small but mighty" agency has been hard at work staying focused on our mission. We are very aware of the importance and the value of spreading the message of HIV/AIDS prevention into the community, while still providing support and services to our clients. Our Eleventh Annual Spring Fundraiser is scheduled for Sunday, May 17th, 2009 at Guy's North in Studio City. You can imagine how important this event is to us, considering today's economy. Financial contributions seem to be down everywhere, and so, we find ourselves reflecting on President Barack Obama's speech, and his "call to arms," asking all of us to support local organizations by volunteering. To that end, we are in the process of inviting an "honorary board of Angels" of concerned celebrities and professionals to serve as advocates and friends who will support us simply by attending our event. As you are probably already aware, HIV/AIDS has not been cured, and the fastest growing segment of the infected population is women. We need your help! We hope that we can add your name to our "honorary committee" for this fun-filled day, filled with music, dancing, poignant moments, and most of all, celebration. Past Angels and supporters of our Spring Fundraiser have included Ben Affleck, Jackson Browne, Bryan Cranston, Marcia Cross, Jasmine Guy, Keb Mo', Chris Schaubel, Sherri Shepherd, Jurnee Smollett, Lily Tomlin, and Congresswoman Maxine Waters.
